Staying out of spam
- 1Send from a verified domain. Verifying a domain in Resend sets up SPF + DKIM — the signatures inboxes check. Don't send bulk mail from
onboarding@resend.dev(shared, heavily filtered). - 2Add a DMARC record. Since 2024, Gmail & Yahoo send bulk mail without DMARC straight to spam. Add a TXT record at
_dmarc.yourdomain.comwithv=DMARC1; p=none;to start. The badges above show if it's missing. - 3Warm up gradually. A brand-new domain blasting hundreds of emails looks like spam. Ramp volume up over days, not all at once. Keep the delay above.
- 4Keep content clean. Real text (not one big image), a working unsubscribe link, no spammy phrases. The Compose score flags these live.
- 5Test before the blast. Use the “send test to yourself” box on the Review page, then run it through mail-tester.com for a real spam score.
Defaults
Higher delay = gentler on your reputation. 600 ms respects Resend's default rate limit.
